President Obama persuaded 46 countries to sign on to a plan to put the world's nuclear material beyond the reach of terrorists within four years. The governments attending Obama's Nuclear Security Summit agreed to take their own measures to safeguard nuclear material used in bombs, civilian nuclear reactors and power plants, and to strengthen international efforts. After 15 months addressing the vexing matters he inherited, Mr. Obama is now aggressively advancing his own vision of foreign policy and defining himself more clearly on the world stage. President Obama represents a chance to assert proactive leadership rather than simply showing that he is not George W. Bush.
According to Harvard's Belfer Center, there are about 3.5 million pounds of highly enriched uranium and half a million pounds of bomb-grade plutonium in the world. Combined, they could be used to build as many as 200,0000 nuclear weapons, or about 8 1/2 times the world's current total of 23,360 warheads. I think at the end of this we're going to see some very specific, concrete actions that each nation is taking that will make the world a little bit safer."
What a joke, yes, he's leaving his mark, a brown stain in the underpants of the United States by weakening our defenses and subservient bowing to Socialist and Communists in unison all the while screwing the American people in ever more unimaginable ways. Like many of his "achievements" to date the actual content doesn't match the retoric. But then President Obama is much better at speaking then doing anything real or tangible. There was nothing of substance done at the nuc conference and the real problems weren't even on the agenda.
ReplyDeletePresident Obama had so many world leaders at his excellent nuclear summit, something that Tyrants Bush and Cheney could never accomplish with their brutish boorish ways of arm twisting and threats. President Obama has certainly made a huge improvement in our image around the world. What a difference a real leader makes!
ReplyDeletePresident Obama accomplished something that Clueless George and Dithering Dick could never do by securing excess enriched nuclear material. Even better is that we get to receive all that excess enriched uranium and plutonium and the government then reprocesses it with lower level uranium and makes fuel rods out of that to sell to power companies at a profit.

ReplyDeleteIt won't be long now before Iran and North Korea have nuclear weapons. No threat by this administration, treaty or UN sanction has had the slightest deterent effect on that develoment. Do you really believe that a treaty will deter Iran, North Korea, or any other nation that is so inclined from selling bombs to terrorists.

ReplyDeletePresident Obama persuaded 46 countries to sign-on to his plan. Persuasion is the way to do business. Bullying and intimidation is not the way to work with people you want to have as allies. Bush 43 never figured that out.
ReplyDeletePresident Obama is making his mark as a world leader and outstanding President. Going to Poland on such short notice will mean a lot to the people of Poland and Europe in general.
Keep the Democrats...they are working for the people not the corporations.
Obama continues to side step any direct confrontation of Iran, which is a terribly naive activity! The meeting produced nothing. I am sick of it. Why don't the democrats act as if the Arms problem is the same as healthcare they would lie, cheat and steal from anyone who gets in their way.

ReplyDeleteJust to inform everyone I did extend the same courtesy to Deer Crusher as he has to me in the past. He is welcome to be a part of this blog but will be censored if need be. I am also open to any suggestions/ideas any of you may have.
ReplyDeleteAnon, What is lacking is TRUST. Since no country trusts the other there can never be nuclear disarmament. That has nothing to do with the democrats. In the heydays of cold war US made the bomb because USSR did it. So who will dismantle? When will we realize that in wars there are no winners unless both sides lay down their arms and peacefully go to work on the problems?
ReplyDeleteHey Jay seems like a few individuals are pissed off. Eventually they will fade away. Looking forward to some of the new topics.
Thanks Eric and good post.
ReplyDeleteLets face it president Obama has quite a mess to clean up. For whatever reason, the other side seems to forget their part in the creation of the mess.
I am glad that the President is starting to work on getting the loose nuclear material contained in some manner but it takes the cooperation of the countries of this world, not just the US to work on this issue. I for one am very excited to see that cooperation is beginning. This going it alone, or you are either with us or against us, mentality is also going away. I believe that we will be safer with cooperation amoungst countries.
Just more Democratic Bullshit!
ReplyDeleteI would like to share some background about myself. I've worked in various homosexual brothels throughout the third world which includes many acts of sexual depravity. My main obsession has always been to kneel before my Negro masters and perform oral sex on them to completion. Turning all of these homosexual tricks has been very rewarding and gratifying, especially when that reality involves helping release sexual frustration for my fellow democrats. My sexual views are as follows: I am a homosexual because I believe in helping those men in need. All of us, you and I, have an obligation to those less fortunate men that never get enough sex. I am a homosexual because I believe in the equality of all people, regardless of their sexual orientation. "Growing up in a sexually depraved household helped prepare me for my current career as a homosexual prostitute. It was always clear to me that the Democratic Party is the Party of the homosexual, dysfunctional families, niggers and those who are discriminated against. Our challenge as homosexual Democrats is to break new ground making our community just as much a nigger infested hellhole as all of the inner cities are."
