Public Service Announcement

Hello all, wanted to make a public service announcment today which affects all of us.

Know one likes getting a speeding ticket but it's bound to happen. Cities with budget short falls need to raise revenue somehow and to do it, they're having their police forces issue more tickets. Well first of all, you can't avoid a speed trap they're out there, alright? There's only so many places that a land-bound enforcer can hide - think like your opponent, let your situational awareness be your front-line driving tool, and not only will you minimize the chances of getting a speeding ticket, but you'll also, first and foremost, become a safer driver overall.

I do not condone excessive speeding and the bottom line is: We are each responsible for our OWN actions! If you break the law, it isn't the officer's fault, it's YOURS!

Do you know where the speed traps are in your hometown? Check out the link below, pretty self explanatory. Everyone have a safe day!

(Click on whatever state /Province
you want and then it will show the city or towns you
want to view, click on which one you want to view).

  4. The last time I got a ticket the cop was on a motorcycle and was hiding behind a tree shooting his radar gun. No way anyone could see the fucker. The speed limit went from a 45 down to a 30. Yeah I got fucked.

  5. To Eric,

I didn't want to touch on that topic yet because at this time all states/counties have different laws regarding the camera's and I am not familiar with them all. In California on June 1st the California senate passed a red light camera reform bill. The bill is going to establish statewide standards for the installation and operation of traffic enforcement cameras.

Right now there is another Senate Bill 1362 and it was proposed by local San Jose resident. It would protect the rights of Californians cited by traffic enforcement cameras. It would require that cities using red light cameras establish policies and procedures to better ensure that citations are properly and appropriately issued, and that motorists can effectively challenge incorrectly administered tickets.

On a side note: While I may not totally agree with the Red-Light Cameras, how many drivers actually know that when a light turns yellow and you are not in an intersection that you are suppose to stop. I can't tell you how many drivers feel that the laws apply to everyone but them. I get tired of seeing these drivers delibertaly go through the light after it has turned red and they could have and should have waited.

  6. Thanks fore posting that link Jay. As far as red light cameras they are here to stay. I disagree with you Jay these cameras are NOT about people running lights, but rather revenue from right turns on red. Just look at the reports from the USDOT on red light cameras. The same conclusions were reached by several state DOTs as well. Any politician who lies about the reason for these cameras should be promptly held to account and shown the door by their constituents. Same for the ones down state who took contributions from these companies so the laws could be changed to allow this cash generating SCAM.

  7. Greed, that's all it is. There is no doubt that these are a money-maker and are NOT in the interest of public safety

  9. Call it what it is, don't tell us it is for our own safety, our elected officials think we are stupid, well we need to vote all these self serving politicians out of office when their terms are up, instead of raising fees and installing the "money maker cameras" how about cutting your budgets and staff back, how about fiscal responsibilty ? The rest of us have to cut back, but you politicians never cut back, the cookie jar of us tax payers is about empty, can you understand that ?

  10. Step by step the government is taking our freedoms-camera to record speeding -where are the police?. Property sold to by force to build higher taxed "developments; permits to allow plumbing, electric work all unvoted on taxes; installing czars to run government instead of congress; unions helping to draft laws to install unions everywhere; allowing illegals to roam the country receiving all benefits without the taxes while claiming "racism" when all we 3want is legal immigration. You are allowing our beloved country to be taken over by Obama and hos Progressive friends and once freedom is lost it is lost forever and once in power progressives will never leave and never relinquish their power.
